To ensure successful operation in long-reach applications, it is essential to employ low feed rates and perform frequent drill pecks (repeated chip evacuation) to prevent chip clogging and tool breakage.
Deep hole drilling significantly increases the risk of chip buildup. Always ensure consistent chip evacuation by retracting the drill periodically. The maximum drilling depth (L₂) for this tool is calculated as:
